Announcement - changes to the tag engine for version 2007.0

I posted this in another thread, but it is important enough to be worth its own thread. Please read this carefully as you may need to make some minor changes to your item templates to ensure your site is compatible with version 2007.0 as that version is released to you.

This has to do with a technique where custom fields are used to hold text that itself contains further item attribute tags, and the item template uses a custom field tag to access that text to obtain the inner tags.

The NetSuite tag engine cannot always discover the tags you are using when you have tags "hidden" within other values that are themselves returned using tags (tags within tags). This is the case when your item template uses a tag to reference a custom field, and the custom field contains text with more tags embedded in it. This can also happen with the item long description field contains further tags, as that field is internally retrieved using a tag. If you try to do this, you will likely get an attribute not found error. In version 11.0.6, you will get
