getattribute tags for Matrix items

Hi all,

I've searched the forums and saw that for 6 months or so people have been asking if "getattribute" tags work for Matrix items.  Some people say yes, some say no.

For people who say "yes!", will anybody be able to post a sample code for how they go it working?
