Custom Checkout, Continue Shopping, Update Total Buttons

Does any bodyknow how I can change the buttons in the cart for "Checkout", "Continue Shopping" and "Update Total", from text rollovers to image buttons.

I'd like to use my own buttons to maintain consistent look and feel with the add to cart button on item pages, but there does not seem any easy way to get at the code to change it.

am I missing something?
