Multi Webstore Frustrations

I don't like to get to this point, but I'm in that weird NS la-la land where nothing seems to come together. So here I am running to the UG to get some help. Please bear with this long post.

I'm trying to create a new webstore which must appear COMPLETELY unrelated to my primary store. That means differentiated emails sent to customers: "differentsender@differentdomain.com", different subject lines which DO NOT reference the primary company. You get the idea.

I cannot seem to get this accomplished. I am hemmed in by defects (IMHO) and missing features (enhancements).
