Web site SEARCH not showing Uncategorized items

We have in "Web Site Setup" the Preference of "Show Uncategorized Items" checked.... but these items are not showing when a customer does a search for them by part#.

It use to work last time I checked .... many months ago.

Has any one else noticed this problem.
