Custom login/registration

Hello

I have a custom form for users to register to our website. Very simple. Auto-populates all the necessary back-end-hidden-from-customer-stuff nicely.

The logic seems stupid to me though. Customer fills in form giving them pricing/access/password etc. then they are taken to our website. They then have to log in, using the details just entered, to get said pricing etc.

Is there a way that customer forms can be used to log in a customer a la the standard website registration form?
