SEO-Friendly Netsuite Image URLs

edited Oct 7, 2011 11:06AM in Web Site / E-Commerce 48 comments

Are there any plans of making Netsuite's image URLs use the file name instead of a meaningless string of codes? The current system is terrible... I've been able to use the workaround to get my images indexed by google, Now I have a dilemma:

Should I expand my use of the workaround in order to get more traffic to my site, or do I hold back and wait for Netsuite to improve the system (this flaw has been pointed out for years). If I use the workaround for all images and then NS fixes the problem in the near future, I will have wasted a ton of time and be left with a big workaround mess for no reason. On the other hand, having the SEO friendly file names will bring us more google images traffic as well as help with standard google rankings.

Howdy, Stranger!
