Jsessions Image Problem

We are having an issue where jsession ids are being assigned to our image links on the product pages when a customer first comes onto our site. We have some image zooming software on this page and it picks up the images by their link name, the problem is if there are jsession id's assigned to the image it cant find the image in its database so it wont work. Is there a way to block Jsession ids being loaded on item pages?  It would help solve our problem.
