Is there a way to put comments into a template that won't render into the page.  For example, Smarty (my current fave template engine) allows this:

{* This won't end up in the HTML *}

So in NS-ville, is there something comparable?  I just want to mark up the templates for my own sake (or those who'll maybe maintain this in the future), but I don't want browsers to see it.

Something such as

<%* This is a comment *%>

Is what I imagine.
