description items not showing in webstore emails

When customers order certain products, I have a script that adds description line items to the order (for license codes).  Those description items show in the system, and when the customer looks at the order in their account.

But the description items do not show in the "order received" and "order approved" emails.  I would like them to show there.

Any suggestions?
