Low orders with high cart abandonment

Low orders with high cart abandonment.  Since last Thursday our orders have been cut in half.  We have not changed any settings on our site.  We have had customers email us and state they could not check out after they have added items to their cart.   We have also seen our cart abandonment rate jump in this time frame.  Anyone else having these issues.
