Can a kit be sold with matrix items in it?

I know you can make a kit with multiple inventory items in that kit and then when the kit is purchased, the inventory items are deducted from inventory, etc. But, can a kit contain a matrix item or two (say with multiple sizes, colors, etc). And, if so, how would the user select the options for that matrix item?
