Adding a new Menu Item in Reference My Account 1.02.0

Did anyone successfully add a new Menu Item in Reference My Account?

I wanted to add a new Contact Us link in the left hand side menu but it won't work. Problem being that the system automatically appended myaccount-1-02-0/index.ssp?sc=6# to the http link that I have added.
