Will installing Reference Checkout 2.03 impact current webstore?

it seems in order to get some custom fields on our checkout page that one option (maybe the only option) is to install the Reference Checkout 2.03.

If I go ahead and do this, could it potentially impact or affect our existing webstore in any such way with respect to functionally, layout, etc..

I am cautious about adding it without knowing the impact first.

Any reply would be greatly appreciated.
