Custom Report Snapshots

I have created Custom Report Snapshots however, when I display them on my Dashboard and modify the view to a graph, you only see the 1st level of hierachy.  I am getting very frustrated with this because a Sales Manager needs to be able to see Summary by Sales Rep in a graph.  Why does it matter that it is a custom snapshot versus a standard snapshot?

Does anyone else have the same problems?
