Change tab order?

I have created a custom tab for one of our roles (Outside Sales) to allow for multiple saved search portlets on the dashboard.  This custom tab always appears to the left of the support tab (which is at the far right).

I've set this custom tab as the landing page, so it comes up first thing when logging in under this role (which is nifty), but I want to know if it's possible to re-order the top-level tabs so that my custom tab appears right next to "Home". 

Is this possible?  Any insight appreciated.....

Also, I've read that it's not possible to delete the original Home tab and rename my custom tab to "Home" to replace it.  Is this accurate?
