KPI / Trend Graph for count of an item's sales (by number of orders)

Is there a way to do a dashboard "Trend Graph" showing the top 15 or 25 items by the number of sales orders that contain that item?

I can do it by "total quantity sold" and by "total dollars worth sold", but not by the count of orders that had each item.
