report builder - possible to link sales and purchase reports?

Hi all, i want to generate a report that will show all the sales orders with the associated "special Order" purchase orders with the validated status on the same screen.  for example, for sales order 12345, i have created "special order" POs 111, 112, and 113.  Is it possible to show

12345       111  pending receipt
               112  pending bill
               113  pending receipt


The reason i need this is so that our order processing staff will know the status of each order and determine what actions to take.  Each sales order can have a lot of special order POs therefore i report like this will help a lot.  Thank you in advance for any suggestion.
