purchase to asset account instead of exp account

How do I purchase something and have it go to an "asset account" rather than "expense account"?

I bought a desk, I enter the bill, but I am only able to bill this towards an expense account.....

I would like to bill this towards an exisiting asset account called "Furniture and fixtures".
