Way to separate sales order to invoice discreetly?

edited Oct 30, 2006 8:30PM in Accounting / ERP 6 comments

We have sales orders that process items and typically support maintenance against the items.

When the order goes through, some customers want to be billed separately for service versus orders. Want to be able to take this single order and break out into two invoices: one for the items and one for the service.

I am not that familiar with this in Netsuite and did not see a way to do this. I assumed if I removed an item from the invoice that I could then do anothe rinvoice for the balance but looks like it just deletes the item even if I already acknowledged it was shipped.

Howdy, Stranger!
