Use Customer Internal ID as part of Customer Name
We want to keep our customers unique, but without turning on the auto-number name assignment feature. Instead, we want to be able to:
1) Set up a customer record with the Name/ID
2) Save the record
3) Retrieve the Internal ID of this customer record
4) Reopen the customer record in edit mode and append the Internal ID to the Name (i.e.: Greatest Customer | 01234 )
We have done this with item records by displaying the Internal ID field in the transaction body, but we are unable to find the customer Internal ID field when we customize the customer record. Shouldn't it be in the list, but perhaps just not displayed?
