I am trying to utilize the Job Record as an event during a sales cycle (basically an evaluation event) so that we can track cases and other things separate from the main opportunity being tracked.

When you create a Job, I've noticed the following:

1. Can only be created from within a Customer record (essentially a sub-customer record). Ideally, I would prefer to create the Job from within the 'Opportunity' record but can not.

2. Since it creates a sub-record (which I like for separating out things), I can not attach 'Opportunities' from the parent. Essentially it expects me to create opportunities under the job which doesn't really make sense.
