Cash Sale and Sales Order

Hi friends,
I am new to accounts but not in programming,
I can generate the Sales Order in NS via webservices, but my accountant is saying these need to be a Cash Sale, as these are going in AR currently(the online orders).
Can someone help me in letting me know the difference between Cash Sale and Sales Order (I know this might be a stupid question, but i really dont know the difference between the two).

Also if i generate the Cash Sale and not a SO, will it make a difference in terms of what the warehouse sees and fulfills.
