I have been trying to add an item to a kit that represents a labour cost per hour so that if a kit takes 2 hours we enter the item with a quantity of 2 etc...

We are tying to capture complete cogs i.e. material cost + labour on each kit.

I can add all kinds of non-inventory type items to a kit but none of them seem to really do anything in the registers, nor do they show up on the general ledge after processing a transaction all the way to invoice.

If I add the item to the sales order outside of the kit... that seems to work; (not at all practical!) but not when it's inside the kit as a member
