Is there a way to mass edit sales orders and customer accounts?

For example:  I want to close all sales orders pending fulfillment for a specific customer.  Is there a way to do this all at once instead of going into each transaction seperately?

Another example:  I want to change the Category listed for several customers.  Is there a way to select multiple customers and mass edit their categories?
