How to access the underlying database? (SQL?)

Hello to all,

Our mortgage firm uses the Financials package. Our internal IT department currently exports a small amount of data via an ODBC connection (Talend/Java components) as a source for our BI data warehouse.

I've been browsing for a couple of weeks, but haven't seen posts from anyone asking questions except from the viewpoint of the front-end application.

Is there another forum where the IT folks accessing the back-end database gather?
