Time Exception Reporting

Hi -
I'm trying to create searches and/or reports to get Time information for our CFO.

The basic question is how to best identify when an employee hasn't posted time, or hasn't posted enough time for a day.

This "identification" is best to alert the employee and his/her supervisor.

How are others handling this?  We're looking for some good ideas to model.

I've got searches and reports, but there's nothing (yet, at least) that the CFO feels is a quick and easy view.
