How do I post a donation in Netsuite?

We are testing Netsuite to see if it will work for our non-profit organ.  Can someone explain to me (sending me screenshots if possible) how a donation is posted in NS.  Our sales consultant demonstrated it to me but he treated it as a sale, which a donation is definitely not.  It took 3 times as long to book a donation in NS then in our current 12 year old Microsoft Access-based accounting system.  I know a lot of npo's are using NS so there has to be a better and faster way to post a donation.
