Trial Balance

My trial balance that I run for year end looks like it is not picking up any previous carry over from the past years. 

So 2012 year end has the 2012 numbers but also picks up numbers from previous years.  The previous years number have all been reconciled out .
Is it because we may have open periods? 

My years are locked down from 2012 to 2008, but everything prior to 2008 to 2001 (when we first started Netsuites)  is still open and not locked. 

Any advice as to how to get the trial balnce to a point wher it can be used by my CPA when they do the book and taxes for year end.
