Change in Revenue Recognition Schedule
Our Revenue schedule is currently tie to SalesOrders which are to be recognized in daily basis (exact number of days).
Going forward, we would like to change the behavior to recognize revenue by number of months.
Example: If a customer buy a service that would run from 1/30/14 - 1/29/15, $1,200.
I want the revenue schedule to be:
January: $100
February: $100
March - Dec: $100 / month.
OR we can even push the revenue out to start in February.
Current revenue recognition:
January: ($1,200/365) * 1 day
February: ($1,200/365) * 28 days
March: ($1,200/365) * 31 days
And so on....
