Errors Importing Child records
I've imported a csv file of Clients. All I want to do is to be able to import the Clients, keeping the original id's (primary key), then import the Account records, which will link to the contacts via the ClientID field (contact id). Each client will have multiple account records.
I just don't get the process. I've tried everything. I've tried turning off autonumbering for the client records; I've tried turning it on and allowing override; I've tried setting the imported "Client ID" as the "External ID" or not. The account records have been set up as a Custom Record, with one of the fields (Client ID) set up as type "List/Record" - client, with Client as the Parent record. Then in the import mapping for the accounts, I set the "Client ID" field in the csv file to "External ID" in the Custom Account record. I also map "Client
