Security Flaw? Preventing roles from editing by Stage?
Is there anyway to prevent users, by role, from editing customer records based on Stage.
We have a pressing need to restrict our sales reps from editing any record in the Stage of Customer, but would have to leave Prospect and Lead editable.
Basically, when a lead becomes a customer, the rep should not be changing anything on the customer record (address, name, etc).
Under the Role-->Permissions-->Lists:
if i set Customers to "View" for my sales rep role, that role cannot edit any Lead, Customer, or Prospect.
There are Security levels for Companies, Contacts, Customers, etc. but nothing for stage.
