Bulk Edit Dept/Class

I have the need to mass update Dept & Class on a lot of transactions.

Will any of these methods work?:

Is Direct List Editing available yet on transactions?

I see CSV only supports Estimates, SO's, and Oppty's in 2008.1.  Does 2008.2 support all transaction types?

Can I do this with smbXML or Web Services?
