"Units Of Measure" on Purchase Orders (Drop ship)
Has anyone written the following?
Business Goal:
When drop ship PO's are created, the unit of measure / quantity is not automatically adjusted to the "Purchase Units" on the item record.
Technical definition:
1) In v2007.1, you can create a beforeSubmit user event on drop ship PO's
2) It is preferred that the script be a beforeSubmit user event but I am concerned about the "cost" of all of the lookups required. It may be best to have a scheduled script fire every 5-10 minutes looking for unadjusted PO's
3) The script would iterate through the PO details and adjust the PO detail unit of measure / quantity to match the "Purchase Units" on the item record.
