Is nlapiLookupField broke for array passing of fields?
Seems this worked fine before, but just tried this:
var fields = new Array('email','firstname','lastname'); nlapiLogExecution('AUDIT','TEST1',nlapiLookupField('employee',id,fields)); // logs null nlapiLogExecution('AUDIT','TEST2',nlapiLookupField('employee',id,'email')); // logs the user email correctly nlapiLogExecution('AUDIT','TEST3',nlapiLookupField('employee',id,'firstname')); // logs the user first name correctly Documentation:

Helper function used to perform searches for field(s) on a records. Usage metering allowed is 10 units.
Parameters
* type {string} - Sets the recordType to perform a field lookup on
* id {int} - The internalId for the record
