nlapiSendEmail - author is script id?

When using nlapiSendEmail, for the author, the help states


author - The internalId of an employee record (this is the sender). Must be an
employee record and defaults to script deployment ID.



How do you get it to "default to script deployment ID"? As part of a batch process I want the system to email the user to let him know if all went well, so I want the email to be  "system" email, not from someone in particular. I tried putting null but that just created an error. So how do I go about doing this?
