run script after all postsourcing runs

I have a script that creates an alert if a custom field is populated after the customer name has been entered. The problem is the postsourcing seems to be running mulitple times, each time populating different parts of the sales order. This means that my script runs each time, and is also creating the alert each time. Is there a way to only have this script run on the last postsourcing run?
