Custom Unsubscribe Link in Scripted Emails

Hello;

Has anyone attempted or accomplished adding their own "unsubscribe" links to a suitescript-driven email?  I'm unsure if the email template functionality even works for us and regardless, we have a need to customize the message.

Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.
