User Event on Email Case Capture

Hi,
Does anyone have a currently working email case capture user event script?

I am trying to get a script to fire when a case is received via email case capture.

I've tried various combinations of event scripts on cases and messages but the only thing I see firing on newly received emails is the before submit user event on cases. This is not terribly useful to me because I need to extract an attached file from the case which requires a search using the case Id (which is not there yet for a before submit event)
