Access to selection of Rich Text Editor

Hi,

I have a Suitelet that I would like to insert text into the Rich Text Editor at the cursor position. I was planning on simply having a text field and a button, when the button is clicked, the content of the text field to the Rich Text Editor.

Does anyone have any ideas how I could possibly achieve this? Any help would be much appreciated.
