Accessing Currency Filter via script in a Multicurrency environment

Hoping someone can help me here..

On the "bank/make deposits" area i've written a bit of script that sets the default Account we want used.. and then i've created a "CAD" and "USD" button that when pressed will flip that account between our US an CAD deposit accounts...

So far so good.. but what would be of benefit is to have the deposits screen at that bottom filtered accordingly ( USD / CAD ) and while via the customise button i've been able to add a currency pull down which does this would anyone know how to access this and do this via script?
