script to capture web lead visitor's IP address

Hi,

I have a customer online form (for new Leads) published to our website and I wanted to add a custom field which will capture the web visitor's IP address. This field will not be shown anyway on the page. Thinking that a script will run this in the background and automatically capture the IP and save it to the custom field after submitting the form.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
