How to populate 'To Be E-mailed' field on a Sales Order

How can I populate values to 'To Be E-mailed' field on a Sales Order through Scripting.
Speciality about this field is, it contains both checkbox and free form text, though according to Record Browser, field is of type checkbox.

But if I structure the code as, salesRecord.setFieldValues('tobeemailed','F');
it is throwing error saying, email address needs to be specified.
