Get list of custom record types

I am looking for a way, within Suitescript,  to get a list of the custom records we've added to Netsuite.  I suppose I could setup a hard-coded list manually and maintain it on-going, but I would think NS has a way to fetch it internally, just can't seem to figure how to do it.
