Retrieving the name of a price level - returning empty

Trying to get the name of the price level but all attempts fail (just returns an empty string). Am I missing something or is this a bug?

nlapiGetLineItemText('price','pricelevel',1) = empty string is returned.

nlapiGetLineItemValue('price','pricelevel',1) = the correct ID is returned.
