How to find which bin an item is in? (advanced bin management)

I've wrestled with this for a while with no luck.

I have serialized inventory that is placed in bins.

My understanding is that a given serial number can physically only exist in one bin at time.

How (in SuiteScript) do I find which bin in which a specific serial number resides?
