Client Script Assistance

Hello NetSuite User Group,

Sorry about this but I am a bit confused how I can create a client script to trigger on validation upon when a user adds an line item.  For instance if someone adds another item called 'itemB' after 'itemA' has already been selected in the ITEMs list it will prevent it and pass an alert with a message saying this is invalid.  This is only between 'itemA' & 'iTemB' as the others are fine.               

Any example and assistance would be greatly appreciated as I can get the example help and start mucking with it - thanks so much !
