Simple Form Portlet on Customer Dashboard

I have created a test simple form portlet. When I assign it to user's dashboard, it works as expected. When I add it to the customer dashboard, I receive the "an Unexpected error has occurred" message. Is it not possible to put a simple form portlet on the customer dashboard?
