Please clarify Helps confusing information on TBA/OAuth for RESTlets

edited Dec 2, 2019 5:46PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 2 comments

I'm finding the NetSuite help and SuiteAnswer articles related to OAuth quite ambiguous...

I'm hoping I can ask a few questions here with hopes that someone who has setup external OAuth to a RESTlet can help me out. I'm testing with cURL and do not want to use another RESTclient unless absolutely required.

SuiteAnswer 24417 (Help) has the following gems: [LIST=1]
[*]"oauth_consumer_key (required) - Consumer Key (client application ID) generated for the token-based application in NetSuite. ..."
As you know the Integration record has an Application ID (that it generates) as well as a generated Key/Secret pair. So which is it? The KEY or the APPLICATION ID? If the help said "This is the Application ID field on the Integration record" or... "This is the key that is generated and later hidden when you create the Integration record"
