How deep do search engines go?

I made an earlier post regarding my discovery that MSN does not seem to go any further into our site than two clicks and as a consequence has only indexed 120 pages. It looks as though Google applies a similar technique as it does not seem to go more than three clicks from the front page, however at the three click level it has indexed 1400 pages.

I started with Netsuite last August. I have a site map.

I have three questions:-

1. Will MSN and Google ever index more of the site?

2. Has your site been indexed at a lower level than above.
